Getting Started
- Yes! ResearchCollab has a free plan that never expires, and no card is required. With it, you can:
- Upload papers.
- Use AI summaries and insights (limited AI credits included).
- Access tools like the Topic Explorer, Knowledge Bank, and collaborative features. To unlock higher upload limits, more AI usage, or team-based tools, you can upgrade to a Premium or Enterprise plan.
- Uploading is easy:
- Go to a Project or create a new project.
- Click “Add Paper” to upload a paper and select a PDF from your device (drag-and-drop works too).
- ResearchCollab will automatically:
- Extract key metadata.
- Summarize the paper.
- Identify arguments, methods, and citations.
- Suggest tags and related research.
You can organize papers into folders, add tags, and annotate directly in the viewer.

- High Server Load – If many users are uploading and processing documents at the delays during the upload and processing stages. Ensure you have a strong and stable same time, the system may experience temporary slowdowns. Try waiting a few minutes before reattempting the process.
- Document Corruption – If your document is corrupted or improperly formatted, it may fail to process correctly. Try re-saving the file in a different PDF version or re-exporting it from the original source.
- Background Applications – Running multiple heavy applications on your device at the same time may slow down processing. Try closing unnecessary applications to free up system resources.

- Access the Invite Feature
- Locate the "Invite Members" option in the project settings.
- Click on it to open the invitation window.
- Enter Email Addresses
- In the invitation field, enter the email addresses of the team members you want to invite.
- You can invite multiple people at once by separating their emails with commas.

- Depending on the collaboration settings, you may have the option to set different access levels:
- View Only – The member can read but not edit documents.

- Click the "Send Invite" button to dispatch the invitations.
- Each invited user will receive an email with an invite link.

- Once they accept, they will gain access to the project and its documents based on the assigned permissions.

- If an invitee does not receive the email, ask them to check their spam or junk folder.
